In loving memory
Dr. Jimmy Daruwalla
Zubin’s father, Dr. Jimmy Daruwalla, founded the Dyslexia Association of Singapore and served as its President for twenty-five years, until his passing in 2016.
In that quarter of a century, the Association grew into the organisation that thousands of Singaporean children and families rely on today — built, for most of its life, around one person’s conviction that a child who learns differently is not a child who matters less.
He was posthumously awarded the Public Service Medal for that work. An education fund for children with dyslexia was established in his memory, to honour him and continue his legacy.
Zubin serves on the Executive Committee of the Dyslexia Association of Singapore. The J is for Jimmy.
